Musical activities: 

1. Voice play: Raise shakers overhead with an ascending “Whoo!” Lower shakers with descending “Whoo!”
2. Distribute shakers. Turn on
3. Shake eggs (microbeat) through first section of song. Shake to macrobeat on repeat.
4. Tap knees to microbeat during second section. Tap to macrobeat when first section repeats.
5. Repeat step four with shaker variations.
6. Continue a cappella. Incorporate children’s variations.
7. Collect shakers.
8. Tonal patterns Presentation ideas: music play. Sing tonal patterns while collecting shakers. Observe the children’s spontaneous responses.
